Glamping at Lake Bled

Glamping at Lake Bled

This isn’t your usual camping trip, glamping in Lake Bled means cutesy A-frame cabins in the forest that fit in perfectly with the fairytale-like scenery.

We stayed in Lake Bled for 3 days and 2 nights at the Camping Bled in the Gozdne vile Glamping cabins. The campground itself is quite large and in the summertime is full of tents and camper vans, but the glamping cabins are a bit removed. They sit in their own little area up on a grassy hill backing up to the forest.

This was probably the most luxurious camping I’ve ever done, the A-frames were small but cozy, just enough room for a bed and some storage on the sides. We had a wood fire hot tub and too lounge chairs to make outdoor relaxing awesome. And breakfast got delivered in a picnic basket every morning. It feels a little weird to talk about the bathroom, but this one rivaled any fancy hotel. From the outside it looks sort of like an outhouse, but inside the floors were heated, there was a waterfall shower, and fluffy towels and robes, it felt so fancy!

The whole campground is right across the street from the lake on the opposite side from the town which makes the area quiet and peaceful. And getting around the lake is easy with the foot and bike paths right there. The campground also has its own restaurant, cafe, and small grocery store so you don’t really have to go into town if you don’t want to.

It is the perfect place to relax for a few days. I loved just lounging around reading during the day and soaking in the hot tub in the evening and watching the fireflies flit around adding to the magical vibe of the place.
