Packing for 2 Weeks in Ireland

Packing for 2 weeks in Ireland

Ireland was the first International destination on our trip around the word. We met my family there and spent two weeks hiking, biking, and enjoying the pubs with them.

Packing for Ireland means items for the cool temperatures, rain, and both outdoorsy activities and city activities. Having waterproof outerwear is key as are layers for being able to adapt to changing temeratures.

Weather and Activities

The weather in Ireland is fairly mild across all seasons, obviously winter is colder and summer is warmer, but there is always a good chance of rain. When I went in June, it rained for a bit almost every day for the two weeks I was there. Summer temperatures range from the 50’s to the 70’s.

Favorite Sporty Clothes

For all outdoorsy activities, my goto pieces are always leggings and a tank top, mostly because that’s what I’m comfortable in. These leggings from Dear Kates are awesome, they are made out of thick material so you don’t have to worry about them being see-through, plus the fabric is water wicking so it keeps the sweat off your skin. The Marmot jacket is perfect for outdoor activities in all weather, it doesn’t have a lining so you can layer as needed, and I find that the underarm zippered vents are especially nice when it raining but it’s still warm out.
